Mounted Deputies

Organized in 1991 and consisting of fourteen active members, the Mounted Deputies are another volunteer organization.

The horses are privately owned by each member and are put through a series of obstacles to qualify each year. In addition to attending parades and parking cars at the Williams County Fair, this group spends many hours working on drills and formations; training at search and recovery; and fine tuning their animals on many trail rides. They have been called upon to assist in locating lost children and adults as well as rounding up farm animals when they have broken out of their pens.
